OpenEdge Enterprise RDBMS

Table 13–16 lists the Enterprise Database components and subcomponents that are installed when you choose the Complete installation option and install the Enterprise Database.

Note: When you install an OpenEdge database product, the Select Server Engines dialog box appears, asking you to choose to install either the 4GL or SQL server engine, or both (the default selection is to install both the 4GL and SQL server engines). Your choice of server engines determines the type of access you have to the OpenEdge data files. See the Installation Help in Windows (inst_hlp.chm) for more information on selecting server engines. For details about accessing the help, see the "Gathering information to plan your installation" section.
